Understanding that good health is a foundation for the economic stability of families, the Kern County Economic Opportunity Corporation's Family Health Clinic in Kern County California, was established in 1972 to provide health services for uninsured and underinsured families and individuals. Medical services are provided regardless of an individual's ability to pay. These services include prenatal and postnatal care, immunizations, well child care, acute illness treatment, chronic desease management and employment physicals. Located in a "medically underserved area, " this neighborhood clinic also offers smoking prevention and cessation education, health education for chronic disease management, HIV education, outpatient drug treatment, referrals and case management.

The goal of the Clinic is to provide health services for uninsured and underinsured families and individuals.
