| Description |
The goal of the Bob Janes Triage Center and Low Demand Shelter is to reduce the number of individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders who are arrested and sent to the County jail for minor offenses. Patients are brought to the center either by police or a referral through one of the four hospitals in the Lee Memorial Health System. Upon arrival, patients are assessed and given appropriate referrals for health and social services. |

| Results / Accomplishments |
Since the Triage Center opened, over 650 individuals have gone through the initial intake process and there has been a 25% decrease in the number of nuisance charges filed throughout the county. |
